Baby Photography in Richmond Park and at home in Twickenham

Summer seems to have come and gone since I've returned from my holiday and it's nearly time to turn up the heating! However, I have a lovely blog to remind you of those warm summer days. This little guy was 9 months old and absolutely gorgeous, he was sitting up unaided but not really crawling and was a perfect model for me.

This lovely family chose a combination shoot so we met in the park for some outdoor family shots and then headed back to their house where we could focus purely on getting those fun and relaxed baby photos. This type of shoot is perfect because it provides such a great variety of images.

Newborn photography in Hampton, Middlesex

I really have been busy lately with lots of spring babies. I am so lucky to get to spend time and work with all of these wonderful families. This beautiful little girl was an absolute angel for me and literally slept throughout the whole session, which is exactly what we want! Portrait of a newborn baby boy in Ruislip

It was so lovely to photograph this gorgeous little boy after 7 girls in a row! He arrived a month early and was quite a surprise for Mum & Dad. When I take a newborn booking I always have to take in to account the fact that babies may arrive early or late, which is why I never book in more than two a week. Each shoot is unique and I take my time to work around you and your baby, I send a 'what to expect' guide a few days before so you know how to prepare and this helps for the lovely sleepy baby that we need for this type of shoot.

Newborn Portrait of a Beautiful Little Girl

I wanted to share some pics of this adorable little girl from a photo shoot that I did at the end of last year. She was 4 weeks premature and spent the first month of her life in hospital. When her Mum got in touch to enquire about a newborn photo shoot for her new bubba she was already 5 weeks old but still only weighed in at 6lb's so I knew that it was still absolutely fine to go ahead. As usual I sent over my 'What to Expect' guide on how to prepare before a newborn shoot and we had a great morning (around 4 hours) getting some of these dreamy shots.

As I always say... it's so important to have photos taken with your baby, your newborn will only be this little for such a short amount of time and these photos are so incredibly special and will be a wonderful memory for you. You may not feel like it at the time but I promise not to show any tummy at all and I will help you to look your very best with a few tricks of the trade!

How much love is oozing from this wonderful connection between Mum and baby!! ❤️

I'm a Pro with BANPAS...and a special gift from me to you!

As an established newborn photographer, I'm constantly honing my skills to ensure I deliver the very highest standard of portraits to my clients.

I'm also an active member of BANPAS - the UK's only dedicated trade association for Newborn and Baby Photographers. BANPAS support photographers in many areas of their business including sharing best practice in terms of working safely with newborns and babies.

BANPAS offer 2 levels of membership - their Pro Level membership is only accessible to those whose work meets the highest standards.

I'm delighted to let you know that I recently achieved Pro Level Membership with BANPAS.

In order to achieve this level I had to submit a portfolio of 12 images that had to include specific elements - such as a sibling or family image. The images are then scored by a panel which includes some of the UK's most respected newborn photographers. It's very difficult to achieve the pass mark, with only around 10% of the entire BANPAS membership operating as Pro Members.

Below are a selection of images included in my portfolio submission.

I'm delighted and very proud that the standard of work I produce has been recognised by this leading organisation and I'd love to thank all of my past clients for trusting me with their precious bundles.

To celebrate this wonderful achievement, I have just four slots available for short outdoor Autumn portrait sessions in Richmond or Bushy Park over the next couple of weeks. The sessions include half an hour shooting time and are suitable for sitters upwards (max of 2 children/family of four). Newborn baby girl in Croydon

I had a fantastic morning photographing this beautiful little girl. She was an excellent model for our shoot and we had a good mix of awake shots and sleepy ones. It was also a beautiful sunny day outside so we managed to get a couple of shots in the garden while she slept like a baby!

I always encourage parents to have photos taken with their newborn baby. I know that you may not feel like it at the time but no one is ever disappointed and it's a such a special time.

Newborn Twins - Photo shoot in Southfields

I had the privilege of photographing these beautiful twins a couple of weeks ago, they were three weeks old but as they were premature the timings were still okay and we managed to get some lovely shots. A newborn shoot with twins is no easy task and definitely a challenge but with a little assistance here and there it becomes a very satisfying and enjoyable shoot.

I typically take a variety of shots at a newborn session, including:

- the bean bag shot where I gently pose the baby / - the prop shot e.g. baby in a prop such as a basket or bucket / - family shot normally against a backdrop / - lifestyle shots where I photograph you in your natural environment.

I am very passionate about what I do and would be delighted to be your newborn photographer. Family Photoshoot on Wimbledon Common & in Wandsworth at home

This was a fabulous photo shoot that I did at the end of last year on a crisp winters day. This lovely family wanted to use some of their pics for presents so I didn't want to post before Xmas incase we spoiled the surprise. We went to Wimbledon Common for some natural outdoor family shots, I do find that children are much more relaxed at an outdoor shoot as there's so much to look at and do and it's not all about the spotlight being on them.

Once we had finished on the common we went back to the house to take some lifestyle shots and it also meant that the kids could unfurl from hats, scarves and gloves and wear their gorgeous little outfits.

A great shoot and a pleasure to work with this family, especially those two gorgeous little faces!

A Newborn Photoshoot in Staines

I returned to visit this wonderful family to photograph their brand new baby girl. I photographed their little boy as a newborn and they were also my competition winners in the Summer so you may recognise their lovely faces.

We were all booked in for the shoot early on in Jan but there were some complications so we had to postpone and do it a couple of weeks later. Obviously, this is not ideal as newborn shoots should really take place in the first two weeks but Mum read all the info I sent her and followed it to a T and even at around a month old we still had a really successful shoot.

Family of five... autumn photo shoot in Richmond Park

It was such a pleasure to photograph this family again. I photographed each little one as a newborn and have watched them all grow in to fabulous little people. We did a mini shoot last Autumn and what amazed me is how different they were this time around, they were not shy, we laughed, played and had fun and they were more than happy to pose now and again.

This little guy was a mere twinkle in his Mum's eye for the last family shoot so it's so great to have his gorgeous face included this time around.

Could a mother look anymore content or proud?! Such a beautiful photo of her and her precious babes.

Stunning Autumn Family Shoot in Richmond Park

What stunning colours autumn provides as a natural backdrop, I honestly think it could be my favourite time of year for a photo shoot... we had an excellent morning in Richmond Park and the weather behaved itself!

I am sure that you will recognise this wonderful Mum and her gorgeous boys as I have photographed them for the last three years in a row, it's always a pleasure to see them all again and watch the boys grow.

Throwing + autumn leaves = pure joy!

and if that's not enough for you... you can always be a monster but a very gorgeous one!

It may sound corny but I really do love capturing these moments and memories for families. My aim is to take photos that fill you with joy and pride every time you look at them.

Family Shoot on Wimbledon Common and then back at home....

I had a fantastic morning photographing this lovely family. It was their second shoot with me so it was great to see them all again, especially the gorgeous new addition to the family. We started off on Wimbledon Common where we took some beautiful back lit shots and then found a fabulous den where little T could go and play to his hearts content and I could take photos without him realising! It is not an easy task photographing an extremely busy 2 year old, at this age they don't want to sit down or pose for very long so I go at their pace and watch and capture moments as they play, which works really well.

When babies are around the 7 month stage it's always a great time for a photo shoot as they can sit up unaided and most hopefully aren't crawling yet... we headed back to the house for some wonderful indoor photos, a big comfy bed and some natural window light is all that we needed.

A Superhero photo shoot in Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon

I have been photographing this gorgeous little boy for the last three years, it's such an honour to be the person to do this, I've built up a great relationship with his lovely Mum and every shoot it's like seeing an old friend... unfortunately these guys are going back to the states soon so this was our last shoot together, I will miss you both and wish you lots of luck for the future. x

We spent a fantastic morning having a walk in the park, collecting sticks, stones and acorns (especially for the mouse in the Gruffalo story) and pretending to be super heroes! The sun didn't shine for us but the grey skies provided a wonderful giant soft box, fantastic for an outdoor photo shoot.

As I watch my beautiful daughter grow and turn in to a teenager I realise that it's not only the little people that deserve the recognition and the fun photos. Turning 13 is a real milestone and one that needs to be documented forever. In the world of Instagram and selfie's there's nothing better than having a professional photo to post, so that's what we did with Daisy and her gorgeous friend Hannah, I was very lucky to have two extremely lovely girls to work with...

If you would like some photos of your teenager, any age from 13-19 then please get in touch. I love doing these sessions at sunset during that glorious golden hour as the light is just so beautiful. The shoot will be very relaxed, a bit of a giggle and should reflect your child's true personality. If your daughter would like to share a shoot with her BFF then that's fine too. Newborn Beauty in Putney

This beautiful little girl arrived early and gave her Mum and Dad quite a shock. She was five weeks old when I photographed her but as she was still supposed to be in Mum's tummy at the time of our shoot she was still very sleepy and allowed me to gently pose her.

It's very unusual but I am so lucky to have had a run of gorgeous girls recently...

I adore sibling shots, there is something so precious about seeing a big sister or brother with their newborn baby.

I always take time to photograph Mum and baby/Dad and baby together, it's such a precious memory to have.

If you would like a newborn shoot please get in touch whilst you are pregnant so that we can secure your spot. If you are having a C-Section then we can pin down a date but if you aren't then I make a date for around 7 days after your due date and then we keep in touch and go from there.

Spring Family Photo Shoot in Richmond Park

I had a brilliant morning with this gorgeous family. They booked their session with me at the end of last year in anticipation of the lovely Spring weather... we had to reschedule our first date (!) as it was just too wet and miserable but the week after was gorgeous so we were lucky. I'm so pleased with the beautiful photos that we got of their four lovely children, they are too. I knew that it was going to be challenging with four little ones but with a few tricks up my sleeve I managed to capture some natural, yet candid images of each child alone and then some of them all together.

What a beautiful little lady...

I'm always in awe of people that have four children, I don't think I could have done it although I love the chaos of it all. This family was a tight nit team and I love the hickledy pickeldyness of this last family shot! My very last shot was of Mum & Dad kissing, which the kids were all rather horrified by!

Newborn Beauty at 7 days new in Staines

This gorgeous little lady was just 7 days old when I met her only a week ago and I had such a lovely time at the shoot with a really lovely family. it took a little longer than planned to get her settled but once she drifted off we got some fabulous shots.

This crown below was knitted by her fabulous Gigi (Grandmother!).

Bump to Baby Shoot in Hertfordshire

I have photographed this gorgeous lady and her family before but we've never done a bump shoot and as this was her third baby I suggested that it might be a nice idea for her to document this stage. I love to take maternity photos, it's a really special time and although you may feel like you're pregnant forever at the time, when you're children are grown up and getting bigger it's so lovely to be able to look back. I know that children love to see you when they were in your tummy too!

This little guy was an absolute dream and slept for the whole shoot! I photographed his big brother and sister when they were newborns so Mum knew exactly what to do and how to prepare, this is so helpful and means that we have a lovely relaxed sleeping baby and get beautiful shots.

Family Shoot in Richmond Park

It has to be said, I'm a little behind with my blogging and I wanted to share these photos with you from the end of last year. It's the third time I have photographed this gorgeous family and it's so lovely to be documenting these really important years for them as they pass by so quickly (although it may not feel like it at the time!!).

My two are 13 & 9 this year, it feels like only yesterday that they were little like these guys and we really do cherish every photo that we have of them from those baby/toddler years. xx

NEWBORN SHOOT IN VICTORIA

This gorgeous little boy was 10 days new when I photographed him at his home and he was just brilliant. I was warned that he wasn't too keen on having all of his clothes off but as the room was a balmy 80 degrees he didn't seem to mind at all. I was blessed with a fabulous floor to ceiling window to work with so the light was just lovely and we managed to get some beautiful photos that can be treasured forever, they don't stay this tiny and new for long!

EARLY AUTUMN FAMILY SHOOT IN RICHMOND PARK

I had a fantastic morning photographing this beautiful Mummy and her two little girls in Richmond Park for a Lifestyle Shoot. The sun did peak its head out from behind the clouds so we managed to get a few of those lovely halo effect photos. It was definitely a challenge working with a two year old that was on the move and an 11 month old that had just started crawling so it was more a case of following them around and getting some natural shots rather than trying to pose them too much. As you will see from these photos, I think a few hearts are going to be broken in years to come! xx
